Located on Rockland’s working waterfront, the Midcoast Sailing Center (MCSC) is the waterfront education program of the Sail, Power & Steam Museum. We believe the best way to learn about sailing is to get out on the water—hands on, in real boats, with instructors who love what they do.

From a child climbing into an Optimist for the first time to an adult learning to handle a boat with confidence, MCSC offers opportunities to learn, practice, and experience the Maine coast. Our programs combine sailing and seamanship with the history, traditions, and working waterfront that make this place special.
